1991 Honda NC30 'Vera' VFR400R

OK this was a bit of an accidental purchase on Ebay, worse still I was stone cold sober so can't even blame the booze for this one!

She cost me £1700 plus another £100 to get her transported down to the OMC in London.

When she arrived she fired up well enough (PHEW!) and so started stripping the body work off to check her over...  Despite the average paint job she actually had her original farings (win!), it went down hill from here a bit.  Matt surmised that she's had a crash ast some point as the Forks were from an earlier model, it also became apparent that the previous owner had been a bit of a ham fisted monkey (no offence meant to ham fisted monkeys but this was pretty poor!) he'd bodged two cables from the battery, presumably for charging, and left them hanging loose down the side between the frame & the fairing!

To get her back on the road we've done the following:

New braided brake hoses Front & Rear

New Choke cable

New Clutch cable

New Speedo cable

New Bendix pads (front)

New Pro-Bolt Stainless Steel Fairing & Screen fixing kit

New Tinted Screen

Pillion seat cowl

New Yuasa Battery

New Regulator/Rectifier

She's now been on the road for two weeks and done a number of ride all over the place.  At the end of the month we'll embark on her first trip up north with ULGa & her new owner!  Watch this space!
